These extraordinary environments are home to irreplaceable wildlife, fragile ecosystems, and vibrant communities that have thrived here for generations. Reflecting on more than 30 years of polar exploration, 2024 marked a renewed understanding: meaningful progress happens when we collaborate with local communities and support science that deepens our connection to these places. From investing in penguin research to building long-term partnerships with Inuit communities, we’ve learned that authentic relationships are key to lasting impact. Looking ahead, we’re focused on strengthening those relationships, supporting polar science, and expanding conservation efforts. We’re also continuing to reduce our environmental footprint through ship upgrades and waste-reduction programs—concrete steps toward more responsible exploration.
