Starting in Reykjavik, where you will experience the juxtaposition of a modern city steeped in Icelandic culture and history, proceeding high above the Arctic Circle to the remote, spectacular eastern coast of Greenland, where you’ll have the chance to explore the remains of ancient Thule settlements and deep fjords, and finally cruising to Spitsbergen, the only permanently populated island of the remote Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard, where almost no roads exist and the few thousand inhabitants of the island rely on snowmobiles, aircraft and boats.
